Marv and I got married five years ago in June and almost immediately little quirky things started to happen. Initially, I thought it was just adjusting to not being a bachelor any more after 25 some years and dealing with someone always in your space might be hard but it became obvious that was not the case. After chasing around to a bunch of doctors, neurologists, and internal medicine specialists, it was determined that Marv had Alzheimers. After four years of medication which held him in a fairly normal realm, we are now seeing some serious decline and the idea came to me to share some of our episodes via a blog first as a way to sort of document for my own self how things roll and second to see if perhaps it could be educational for people who might be in a similar situation. It helps to know you are not alone in this adventure.
Hi,
I enjoyed discovering your blog today. Sounds very intense for you, and I’m so glad you’ve found a way to turn heartache into great storytelling.
Rock on!
Meg
Thanks for the nice comment Meg. I’m encouraged to carry on with updating the blog again as it has been some time. I hope you’ll come back and
enjoy.
